Lymmerpool should have bossed this big style and indeed did to begin with. Where this performance of superhuman stature came from will never be known. The mere mortals of Argyle stood up to the big boys of Ward, Morgan, Willis and (the absent from the write up to make it look better) Hawkins in the midfield and watched 'em weep. Come on Argyle!

I must admit RNH that's not quite how I remember the match (I managed to watch it as I didn't participate!). I am sure all of your goals were down to our generosity, we graciously and frequently managed to pass you the ball in the equivalent of our box; whereas our goals were a majestic illustration of poetic football with the ball floating around as we caressed our every pass, infrequently leading to an occasional goal. I believe we can take the high ground and claim a victory in the name of football.
