As a manager and captain I couldn't have asked any more from my boys. They were solid at the back, mixed it in midfield and deadly accurate up front. We had our bit of luck with goal keeping and defensive errors, but at this level you make your own luck. MOTM this week is difficult as the whole team starred. Hamill with his control of the right wing and unique skills could take it. All of the back 5 deserve it, Elisara, Kandola, MOTMGrail, Marsh and Meadows. They are organised and a hugely functional team within a team. LA Rowley had another good game, controlling the left flank and playing some great one touch interpassing with the soon to score Stanley. Newton, Marshall and Shaw worked hard up front and started the defense in Revolutions half. Royle Bolton and myself held the centre of the park, with my senior colleagues playing with great energy. Overall it's a close one and is between Royle and Hamill. Ponder on this will we.........................

Surely has to go to C. Royle. He played the total game - passing, tackling, scoring. First goal stunned the crowd beating Charvill at his near post. A definite contender for goal of the season. All hail the King!

A definite contender for goal of the season. Not so sure about this bit. "We'll drink, a drink, a drink, To Colin the king, the king, the king, For he's the leader of Lymm Dads. He's the greatest inside forward, That the world (!?) has ever seen." To the tune of Lily the Pink. Colin will remember it.

But he still can't hit 'em in from 75yards!

re 7 March: sorry colours, had to leave to be home for 10:15 and so missed out on fouling Marshall when he scored in Fergie time. At least I can say that, while on the pitch, the team I played for (bibs for 13 seconds then colours), didn't concede a goal.
BTW: isn't it a penalisable handball if you deliberately move your arm, say to protect your face, and the ball hits it?
